I remember, back in the day, when emails were composed solely on a terminal by which you could connect to a corporate network – no “windows”, no wireless connection at home, no pretty buttons to click, no colors other than your UNIX terminal. Life was rough!

There was an old computer editor called “V.I.” made for the UNIX network that could get you where you needed to go – on the internet to send email! Revolutionary! Here is a cheat sheet to give you an idea of how simplistic, yet complicated, things used to be.
