Folks, I just found out KC & The Sunshine Band is near!!!
I have to tell you, back in the 1990’s I saw them 3 times – I was fortunate enough to live in the Raleigh area, and as I understand it, none other than Harry Wayne Casey (K.C.) lives or lived in a nearby town…hence, the reason I got to see him locally so many times. What energy and charisma! My God, it’s the best concert I’ve seen in my life, and I’ve seen over 30. The horn section is worth the prices of admission alone, but the backup singers still “got it” after all these decades!!!

How To Pronounce “Florida”
I was born elsewhere, but lived several years in Florida – I always pronounce it “FLAR-ih-duh”.
If you grew up there, you pronounce it “FLOOR-ih-duh”.
Actually, the latter is closest to the original Spanish name, but either pronunciation is acceptable. However, depending on which way you choose to say it, they can tell if you’re a native!
